Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born on the 2nd of December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney was the first dancer of her age and was a winner of numerous competitions in gymnastics. But, more than anything, Britney loved to sing. At the age of 8, Britney tried out for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), but was refused because of her age. Her next audition was for "Ruthless", an off-Broadway production, in which she performed in the role of the title character for two years. At age 11 she tried again for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and, this time, made it as a mouseketeer along with the stars of the present (Justin Timberlake as well as JC Chasez from *NSYNC as well as Ryan Gosling). Her breakthrough however, came after she was signed as Jive Recording Artists in the latter part of the 1990s. Britney's debut album, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as in July 1, 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was born to be famous from a young age. Britney loved singing and was influenced by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) at the age of was eight. However she was too old to be considered a suitable candidate. Britney and her baby sister, Britney relocated to New York, where she appeared in many TV commercials and an off Broadway production called "Ruthless" which was directed by the guidance by Natalie Portman. She discovered her love of dancing and music two years later when she was auditioning again for "Mickey Mouse" and won the part alongside Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
