Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going on to be a star in
big-screen comedies such as 'Elf "Anchorman," and Talladega Nights.
Will Ferrell was born in Irvine, California in 1967. He began his comedic career
as an actor in the improv troupe based in Los Angeles, the group, the
Groundlings. He was an Saturday Night Live cast member for seven seasons and
was a major comedic draw through off-color hits, such as Old School 2003 and
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell was a co-founder of Funny
or Die, a popular video streaming website. Ferrell also had successes as an
actor voiceover in animated films such as Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell
was conceived in Irvine, California on July 16th 1967. Will Ferrell is the
oldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell (and Kay Ferrell),
but he wasn't exactly the school clown while he was at University High School.
He was calm and studious and he opted to play football and set a school record
for the most field goals made. Ferrell did not exhibit the bizarre, comical
behavior that would determine his career even at his suburban home. His mother
who was interviewed by Esquire and Esquire, stated that her son was calm and
amiable. "You remember those little Matchbox cars?" Will would line
up his Matchbox cars, by himself, and be totally happy. You would say,
"You want to go to Disneyland today?" He'd have to think about the
matter. Ferrell wasn't exactly a straight-laced man. The hints of his comic
talents was seen every morning at high school, when he disguised himself in
order to announce his daily activities through the PA system. Ferrell earned
his degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1986. He
joined Delta Tau fraternity, and went on to pursue a degree in sports
journalism.
