Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda is a Filipino singer and songwriter who made waves in the Philippines in the 1890s, and internationally in 2007 when he was the lead singer in the American rock group Journey. Arnel is 54 as of 2021, he was born Arnel Campaner Pineda, on September 5, 1967, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. Every year, he commemorates his birthday on the 5th of September. Arnel will turn 55 on September 5, 2022. His birth sign is Virgo. Arnel is averaging height of 5 feet 4 inches (164 centimeters). His family was left in the burden of debt following the death of his mother. His father, six months behind on rent payments and in a position of no means to support his family, requested his relatives to adopt Arnel. Arnel realized the severity of his father's health and took a decision to stop school in order to do something to help. Arnel was born at the St. Jude Thaddeus Diagnostic Clinic in Tondo Manila, Philippines to Restituto Liscious Pinda and Josefina Mannansala Campaner. His mother encouraged him to sing as a child. The family members signed him up to participate in singing contests. Arnel's mother passed away from heart disease when Arel was thirteen. After his mother's passing the family was left in debt. His father was six months behind in his rent and was not able to earn a living for his family. Thus, his father asked his relatives to help Arnel. Arnel is the youngest of three children: Roderick Pineda, Joselito Pineda, and Russmon Pineda. Arnel saw the situation and decided to stop school to relieve the burden of his father. Arnel spent nearly two decades in the streets sleeping anywhere he could. He gathered glass bottles, newspapers and scrap metals. He offered them to recyclers. Arnel also had odd jobs, including docking ships or cleaning scrap metal. Arnel is married to Cherry Pineda. They were married in 2001. Together, they have had two children one daughter (Thea Chenelle Pineda) and a son (Cherub). Arnel also has Matthew and Angelo the two older sons.
