Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis (Greek pronunciation 01 October 1969) was a famous American actor, comedian musician, writer, and comedian. He was also a guest on Comedy Central Presents and hosted Late World With Zach on VH1. Galifianakis has been in films such as The Hangover trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010) and The Campaign (2012). He also appeared in Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) as well as Masterminds (2016). Galifianakis has also voiced characters in animated films such as Puss in Boots (2011). The Lego Batman Movie (2017). Missing Link (2019). Ron's Gone the wrong way (2021). Galifianakis is currently host of Funny or Die's talk show Between Two Ferns, with Zach Galifianakis. He was also a part of the FX series Baskets. In 2017 his nomination was for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis, a North Carolina native, was born October 1, 1969, in Wilkesboro. The actor is the son of Mary Frances (nee Cashion) and Harry Galifianakis, a heating oil seller. His mother is of Scottish-Irish and English heritage, while his paternal grandparents are Greek immigrants from Crete. His father was a Greek Orthodox Christian and he was Baptized. He is the younger brother of, Merritt and an older brother named Greg. His cousin Nick Galifianakis (Washington Post cartoonist) is his uncle. Galifianakis went to Wilkes Central High School. He later attended North Carolina State University and majored in communications. He worked as a radio operator at an access station that was public at college. He taught a waltz course in 1991, where he met with Mary J. Blige. Galifianakis was an Saturday Night Live host for two weeks after his TV debut in Boston Common. Galifianakis claimed that he performed for Saturday Night Live for two week and Britney Spears was the host on one of those days. Will Ferrell was playing the role of a bodyguard for her belly button. Will and I were going to shrink Will down so that she could fit a belly button. When I explained the idea to them, she looked at me. She then said, "Yeah, that's funny." Galifianakis co-starred in the film Out Cold, and had minor role in Corky Romano, Below, Bubble Boy, Heartbreakers, Into the Wild, Super High Me, Little Fish Strange Pond and Largo.
