Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. She made her movie debut as the Bond girl with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was approached by a photographer and began to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build her career as a commercial model. Doody was extremely cautious about doing glamour or nude work. The rule was extended to her acting career. Doody was offered a tiny role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when she was spotted by the director who cast her. Doody was named as one of 12 Promising New Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody aged 18 as she played the character of Doody in Bond She was still the youngest Bond girl until today. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody played the role of Archibald's wife, Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the television adaptation The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part in Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she appeared as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. In Hollywood, she moved to. The actress later became Flannery her agent, as well as her girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She had been chosen as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 with a minor performance as a character in The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. She also appeared in 2004 in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody was as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Later, she guest-starred on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to appear in a remake in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. In November of 2018 she received the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and received a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
